State Representative

Greetings My Brothers,

It is a great pleasure to serve as your State Representative.  Thank you for the vote of confidence that you have placed in me by electing me as your State Representative.  The position of the State Representative is of the utmost importance for the effective operations of the State of Mississippi Organization of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.   Brothers, I am very serious about this position and I will not take the responsibilities of this position lightly.

The State of MS Organization of Omega Psi Phi has made great strides for the betterment of the Fraternity.  It is my ultimate goal to continue this growth and success toward the betterment of this great Fraternity.  Like men with similar ideas working together with maximum efforts, we can make this happen.  It is togetherness that has brought success and progress to our Organization.  I will provide the type of leadership that fosters collaboration that is needed for our continued growth.  No man is an island; it will take all of us working together.   Together we can meet the obligations of Omega to serve externally and internally.  My Brothers, we must be more viable in serving the community and in assisting our Brothers through friendship and brotherly love. 
 
As your State Representative, I will focus on what is best for the State of Mississippi Organization.  I have no personal agenda or favoritism agenda, but only the agenda of Omega.  I will seek to ensure that the State of Mississippi carry out that agenda and its mandated programs.  I will seek communication and guidance from the brotherhood to make the best decisions for our Fraternity.  This also means keeping past state officers and committee chairs informed so that they may be able to continue to help influence decisions in a positive way. My Brothers, I will make sure that your voice and concerns of the Mississippi Organization will be heard in the decision making process of our Fraternity on the State, District, and National level.

The Mississippi State Organization of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is headed in the right direction.  If we are to continue to improve, then we must change some of the ways in which we do things. Sometimes change means to do more of the same, but on a higher level of involvement and dedication.  If we carry out the agenda of Omega to the fullest as already set forth by our great Fraternity, then we will always be effective and successful.  Therefore Brothers, we must become more involved and dedicated.  We must set goals and collaborate together to find ways to accomplish these goals.  Brothers, I have set these goals as an effort to continue to improve on our mission for Omega:

Increase membership of graduate chapters within the state.
Increase undergraduate membership.
Establish new chapters where feasible within the state.
Improve communications within the fraternity.
Improve chapter operations.
Improve on chapter and state committee chairs reporting.
Improve undergraduate and graduate relationship.

As we carry out these goals, it is my hope that the implementation of innovative ideas with positive results will set examples throughout the 7^th District to help Omega move forward in the next centennial.
